The laundry is drying, the dishes done, the floors swept, the coat mended, meals planned, bath cleaned. Even though I am home today, I don't feel restful. The anticipation of the season still haunts me, though I set aside this time before family is home to catch up on some things and gather myself. It's another cold and overcast day, but the Christmas music keeps my spirits joyful and light.
Funny how people hustle and bustle to show friends and family love by giving gifts and doing things for them by Christmas day, like that will "no longer count" once Christmas day has come and gone...
